DOUGHNUTS.
Our first priority (kind of) of being title holders. I can't really say too much because our directors, my teen & MCI actually did work and sold all the rest of them .. however I was wearing peep toe pumps in 40 some degree weather .
The first hour -two was very fun however getting to girl talk with my director, Gina. Have I mentioned how fabulous and absolutely hilarious she is? We sold about twenty dozen during that time and it was nice getting to tell people that they werent just any doughnuts, they were CMN doughnuts.
Earlier this year I was able to go with our Miss AK Katy to the CMN hospital here in Anchorage to visit some kids and learn how our fundraising efforts help them. The kids were perfectly adorable and so so sweet!! Katy and I got to hangout with a girl, close to our age, who had just gotten out of surgery and her meds made her a bit loopy but she had us in tears from laughing so hard. We then met some of the people whose salaries were solely from CMN and they were the only 2 people in the entire state for their position. Shortly after that, our Miss AK 2010 Abby told me that the only ones allowed to visit the children, like we had just done, were title holders and santa claus. It hit me-- 1) We're on the same level as Santa?!?! 2) I feel so lucky to have been able to have had that experience!
